Great tool, exceeds expectations, and does what it says.

Honestly, I think we can all agree that the quality of applications that are available on the Mac App Store are sub-par, to say the least. Granted, this is in part due to Apple’s sandboxing and restrictions for applications that developers are able to publish on the App Store.

Anyways, I really don’t expect to find anything ‘useful’ on the App Store because of all this, this is especially the case for developer tools. However, SSH Tunnel had good reviews and the developer was active in the project. I gave it a chance, purchased it, and happily use it daily. The application delivers on everything listed in its description, and does it all very smoothly without issue. I am an avid user of command line utilities, for speed and ease of use, and obviously as a developer use SSH tunneling for a variety of cases. Because of the various use cases I have for SSH tunneling, I figured it’d be nice to have a frontend to manage it, and this application does that perfectly. I haven’t yet run into any limitations that have caused me to resort back to something else, which is great.

tl;dr - It is a great application and one of the few in the “Developer Tools” category that will actually provide worth-while utility to a developer.
